Tensions in the Middle East are escalating significantly, particularly involving the Houthis, who are intensifying military actions and diplomatic engagements with various entities, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Iraq. The ongoing instability is further exacerbated by rising crude oil prices and recent attacks, leading to heightened cooperation between the Houthis and countries like Italy and Oman, as well as the United Nations. This complex web of alliances and conflicts underscores a volatile regional landscape marked by increasing hostilities and strategic maneuvering.

How News Intel works

News Intel is a feed of AI-written sentences about where the world is going. Under the hood, GDELT, RSS and curated Twitter handles stream into an entity graph (people, organizations, places, indicators) keyed by Wikidata QIDs. Pattern detectors run hourly against that graph - when one fires, the LLM is asked to write a sentence describing what's happening. The percentage you see is a magnitude-of-shift score computed from the graph signals themselves; the LLM never sees or produces the number.

Filter the feed by Topic (Geopolitics / Tech) and then by Region or Vertical. Each card links to the full claim detail page with the underlying entities, evidence events, and signal history.
