Beijing is actively intensifying cooperation and diplomatic coordination with a diverse range of partners including New Zealand, Brazil, North Korea, South Korea, the Philippines, Africa, and major corporations like Alibaba, reflecting a broad push in trade, cultural exchange, and strategic engagement. At the same time, tensions are rising with the Pentagon and Vietnam due to concerns over military ambitions, rare earth processing, and territorial disputes, while Beijing also maintains high, level talks with the White House and coordinates with Vladimir Putin amid shifting geopolitical alliances. This dynamic highlights Beijing’s expanding global influence alongside persistent regional and international frictions.

How News Intel works

News Intel is a feed of AI-written sentences about where the world is going. Under the hood, GDELT, RSS and curated Twitter handles stream into an entity graph (people, organizations, places, indicators) keyed by Wikidata QIDs. Pattern detectors run hourly against that graph - when one fires, the LLM is asked to write a sentence describing what's happening. The percentage you see is a magnitude-of-shift score computed from the graph signals themselves; the LLM never sees or produces the number.

Filter the feed by Topic (Geopolitics / Tech) and then by Region or Vertical. Each card links to the full claim detail page with the underlying entities, evidence events, and signal history.
