The Philippines is actively intensifying cooperation with multiple regional partners including ASEAN members such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore, focusing on economic, diplomatic, security, and climate, related initiatives. At the same time, the country is experiencing heightened tensions with China over disputed South China Sea territories, prompting increased coordination with Tokyo and other allies to address regional security concerns. This dynamic reflects the Philippines' strategic efforts to strengthen regional alliances while managing complex geopolitical challenges.

How News Intel works

News Intel is a feed of AI-written sentences about where the world is going. Under the hood, GDELT, RSS and curated Twitter handles stream into an entity graph (people, organizations, places, indicators) keyed by Wikidata QIDs. Pattern detectors run hourly against that graph - when one fires, the LLM is asked to write a sentence describing what's happening. The percentage you see is a magnitude-of-shift score computed from the graph signals themselves; the LLM never sees or produces the number.

Filter the feed by Topic (Geopolitics / Tech) and then by Region or Vertical. Each card links to the full claim detail page with the underlying entities, evidence events, and signal history.
